On a previous article we discussed what is included in your credit report. Given that we still get a lot of questions whether certain things are included in your credit report, let us tell you what in NOT included.
A credit report does NOT include the following information:
- Your actual credit score. Your credit score is generated by information on your credit report, but is not part of the report.
- Checking or savings accounts
- Debit Cards or Pre-paid Cards
- Bankruptcies that are more than 10 years old
- Charged-off or debts placed for collection that are more than 7 years old
- Information about your credit card rewards / cash back
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- Religion
- Political affiliation
- Medical history
- Criminal records
